Moses was born to a Hebrew Slave named Yocheved, in a time when male Hebrew babies were being taken and ruthlessly killed by Egyptian soldiers, as ordered by Pharaoh Seti I. Yocheved tried to save her newborn child by placing him in a basket and setting it afloat the Nile. Moses survived the river, and was found and adopted by Tuya, the Egyptian Queen.
